Renfaerie
Renfaerie is a joint venture between two nerds that live with their cats somewhere in Pennsylvania. They channel their frustrations, worries and energy into making art to keep them sane. While Katie has been exploring inkle weaving for the past few years, Brynna’s work keeps bouncing between traditional and digital mediums.
Meet Katie
Hello! I’m Katie and, for the most part, all you need to know is that I love to inkle weave.
For the uninitiated, inkle weaving is a type of narrow band weaving technique that dates back hundreds of years. For me, it is a hobby that started by a chance introduction to an inkle loom from a good friend in a park and has snowballed into a skill that I’ve honed over the past few years. My part in Renfaerie is two-fold: creating and processing the bands I weave to be consumed by those who love slow, hand-crafted art; and an opportunity to share my love of this particular niche fiber art. When I’m not weaving, I also sketch and illustrate, drawn to bold line art and horror movie references. I thrive on questions about my crafts so, if you have questions or see me in the wild, I’d love to talk about the wonderful world of inkle weaving!

Hi there! I’m Brynna.
I’m a self described jack-of-all trades, and master of none. Art is my passion, be it traditional, digital or somewhere in between. Lately my work has taken me on a digital deep dive and my skillset has grown immensely. My approach has always been multi-faceted, and I love working in a variety of mediums, and exploring the problems new tools present. I’m a Fine Arts Major gone techie, and I’m ready to take on the world. Brynn It On!
